Chipmunks
Chipmunks are a small woodland rodent that is not quite as common as the grey squirrel but still have a wide presence in North Carolina. Their striped fur and habit of stuffing food in their cheeks endear people to them, but they can still become pests.
Chipmunks as pests
The most likely issue people experience with chipmunks is their entrance into homes and other structures where they don’t belong. Because chipmunks are so small, they can fit through very tiny spaces to gain entry. Like squirrels, they build nests in trees, but also like squirrels; attics are very attractive alternative nesting places for them.
Chipmunk removal in the Triad
Chipmunks are well-represented in Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Kernersville, High Point, Burlington and the greater Triad area. It may be difficult to know if a chipmunk, or multiple chipmunks, have made a home in your attic or between your walls. Signs of this are droppings, smell, and gnawing.
Critter Control of the Triad has the tools to remove them humanely, determine how the chipmunks gained entry and to prevent them from returning. Our wildlife technicians can also assist in repairing any damage caused by their presence in your homes.
